HIWIN: Q4 Order Momentum Continues, US Humanoid Robot Orders Warming Up
Nov 5th, 2026

HIWIN (2049) Chairman Cho Wen-heng said yesterday (the 26th), while exhibiting in Japan, that the company's strong order momentum has carried into the fourth quarter, with orders coming mainly from AI, large-scale infrastructure, automation and semiconductor-related industries. HIWIN has also received orders from a US robot manufacturer, and shipments of humanoid robot components have already begun.

Cho said that since the second quarter of this year, the recovery signals across the machine tool and component industry have been clear. The mainland China market is very hot, and demand from semiconductors, AI-related industries, large-scale infrastructure and automation is strong across the board. Lead times for all HIWIN product lines have been extended, and production lines are running full overtime. Order visibility currently stands at 6.5 months for ground ball screws and 4–6 months for linear guides; machine tool rotary tables carry an average lead time of three months, while orders for wafer robots, transfer platforms and semiconductor equipment components already extend into mid-2027.

Cho added that the small ball screws and linear guides supplied for the lower limbs of a major US manufacturer's humanoid robots have begun shipping in batches, with orders gradually picking up. HIWIN has also begun contact with the supply chain of a major Japanese humanoid robot manufacturer and is actively discussing cooperation plans. The company already supplies parts to Japanese robot equipment makers, and given the supply shortage, its strategy in the Japanese market is to prioritize long-standing, loyal customers.

Cho noted that HIWIN's revenue for the first three quarters grew 23.9% year on year. Orders from Japan rose more than 40% and shipments grew 20%, with machine tools, semiconductors and automation manufacturing as the main demand drivers. Order momentum has continued into the fourth quarter; HIWIN expects capacity to increase 20–25% this year and shipments to grow by more than 20%. Full-year revenue is expected to challenge a record high, and the company believes it can sustain this year's growth momentum next year, with revenue potentially setting another record.
